Nematsdarin Fm
Type Locality and Naming
Includes in Shadarlan and Schugnan ranges. It was identified in 1968 by V.P. Bulin and G.V. Kuznetsov.
Synonym: Nematsdarinskaya suite, Немацдаринская свита

Lithology and Thickness
It consists of metamorphosed gray quartz-chlorite schists and quartzitic sandstones containing interlayers of marbleized limestones. The incomplete thickness is 600 m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
In other cases, it has tectonic contacts with the surrounding rocks.
Upper contact
Regional extent
It is distributed in the South-West Pamir on small areas. The formation, in most cases, occurs in the form of remnants of the roof of the Shugnan intrusive complex, belonging to the Lower Cretaceous Pamir-Shugnan complex.

Fossils
In the slates exposed on Peak Terboy and at the mouth of the Vardhidz River, which G.V. Kuznetsov attributes to the Nematsdarin Fm (немацдаринской свите), single Carboniferous spores Zonotriletes suberenatus Waltz., Z. crassiptaris Waltz., Lepidozonotriletes latispinus Lib., Trematozonotriletes irregularis (Andr.) Jsch. (determinations of I.A. Siversova) were found.
